Blowout Mountain Ranch

An amazing 207 acres with its own mountain in the center. This ranch is a one of a kind. The
center of the mountain also has a crater on top that is said to have formed from a collapsed sink
hole. Lots of other local lore surrounds this mountain. The ranch also features a custom built
limestone house, loads of wildlife, and beautiful views.
Improvements:
1856 sq ft, 3 bedroom 2 bath, house built in 2005. This house has 18” thick concrete filled
walls providing amazing efficiency and a fire barrier. House also has porches front and back a
large metal covered carport.
A large barn was built in 2025 to house equipment as well as feed and/or hay.

Location: The ranch is located in Taylor County. It is 11 miles from Interstate 20 and is 27 miles
from Abilene. A short 3 hours drive from the DFW area and 2 hours from the Midland/Odessa.
Fences- 8’ high tensile fence was constructed around the perimeter. Approximately 2.5 miles of
fence surround property.

Water: A rural water system (Blair Water Supply) provides water to the house. A well is located in
the southwest corner of the ranch. There are also 6 small ponds on the property.

Cover: Live oaks, cedar, mesquite, shin oak, native brush, and native grasses. This property is
incredibly diverse in the forage, allowing for the wildlife to flourish.

Topography: The mountain provides lots of rock ledges, overhangs, crevices, and a crater at the
top uniquely filled with sand.

Elevation: From the base of the mountain to the top is approximately a 225 foot difference in
elevation.

Wildlife:
White-tailed deer- Approximately 50 deer are thriving on the ranch. The bucks average in score
depending on age 160 to 350”.
Red Stag- Roughly 25 with proven pedigree on all animals out of Maine. Original sire to this
herd scored over 700”.
Fallow- 7 breeding animals with 2 being young bucks and one very large 4 year old Chocolate
fallow.
Axis- approximately 30, again these animals were chosen because of their genetics being the
best quality available.
*Prior to any animals being released on the ranch all existing wildlife was removed to ensure
proper genetics and blood line
